When writing acover letter the initial paragraph gives the employer the information why you are writing. The name of a shared personal contact may be included, or if someone has referred you or recommend that you contact the person or company. Your college and recent status and a short sentence on why you feel you are the ideal candidate for the Account Manager Position can be stated in this first paragraph.

When writing a jobapplication letterfor a account manager position the middle paragraphs help you to explain to the organization/company what you’ve got to propose. Start off by stating you’re involvement with the Financial Services Industry. Specify the names of organizations you’ve held positions within the industry and for what period of time did you hold each position. Mention your level of ability in intellectual ability, analytical ability, communication skills, organization skills, ability to work in groups, perseverance, imaginative and creative potential.  List some of your responsibilities and describe how it’s relevant to the work you are applying for. Provide a brief anecdote if necessary to emphasize a point or a skill. List a few of your personal qualities that makes you stand out. Make sure you include all internship experiences, coursework certifications, internships, volunteering, or co-curricular activities, etc. Be sure to provide any skills, analytical and leadership abilities, languages (i.e. written and verbal) or any other skills beneficial to making your letter stand out among a pile of other applicants.

The final paragraph should tell how & when you will follow up. Unless the job description specifically points out  not to make any phone calls or email follow up, it is your responsibility to follow up. If emailing your documents, follow-up is usually one-two days; if sending documents by mail follow up is usually a week.
