Re: Product Designer Position

Dear [HR Director],

When writing acover letter the first paragraph tells the employer why you are writing. Including the name of a shared personal contact may be a good idea, if someone has referred you or recommend that you contact the person or company. You can also include your education and present status and a short sentence on why you think you are the ideal candidate for the Product Designer job.

When writing a jobapplication letterfor a  Product Designer Position the middle paragraphs allow you to explain to the organization/company what you’ve got to offer. Start off by stating you’re involvement with the Industrial Engineering/Design industry. Specify the names of contractors or corporations you’ve held positions within the industry and for what period of time did you hold each position. Tell your level of ability in intellectual ability, analytical ability, communication skills, organization skills, ability to work in groups, perseverance, imaginative and creative potential as well as your other characteristics that you think would be beneficial. List some of your responsibilities and describe how it’s relevant to the work you are applying for. Provide a brief anecdote if necessary to emphasize a point or a skill. List a few of your personal qualities that make you remarkable. Add any experiences, coursework certifications, language skills, volunteering, or co-curricular activities, etc. Be sure to provide any skills beneficial to the company’s needs in the position in which you are applying for.
How and when you will follow up will be mentioned at the last paragraph. It is your responsibility to follow up if the internship/job description particularly states no phone calls or email follow up. If emailing your documents, follow-up is usually 24 – 48 hours; if sending documents by mail follow up is usually in one week.

Sincere regards,
