If you apply for a certain position in a certain company, write the name of the company, the department and the name of the person. If the person is someone you don’t know you can start with “Dear Sir/Madam” as you do or you can use “To whom it may concern”.

Dear Sir/ Madam,
Thanks for the interest shown to my candidacy. I am in search for a suitable position in the field of Quality Control & Project execution.
I have completed my B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University in the year 2005 with 7 years experience in fabrication, construction, machining and painting. In additional to Mechanical Engineering degree I am also holding a 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
As an added qualification, I have completed ASNTNDT level 2 (RT, UT, MT, PT), Primavera P6 and NACE CIP level 1 and 2. I am well versed with Project Management Tools like AutoCAD and MS-Project which helps me to make a positive contribution.
Of key importance, have been my ability to handle day-to-day issues while planning and implementing, expediting and procurement of materials. I have also assisted the Logistic department in preparing shipping documents.
In the Aluminium Smelter Plant, I have worked for projects like QATALUM, EMAL, RAS-AL-ZOUR and DUBAL wherein I handled the Conveyor systems, Elevator, Duct works, Dust collector, Hopper, special type of machineries, Platform and Handrails.
In the Marine field I worked for FPSO FRADE & GIMBOA Projects, ship repairing, AKKER beta project, etc. In the oil and gas field I worked with SBM Jack house, Oil tanks and Water tanks, whereas in the Boiler filed I have worked for companies like BHEL, Nooter/Eriksen.
In the Managerial capacity, I have a proven track record for completing my allocated task within the limited time frame and with the allocated budget. I am a positive team player and have received excellent client feedback.
At present I am on an employment visa (free zone visa) which is valid till middle of March 2012. I have a valid UAE driving license.
