Re: Quality Assurance Analyst position

Dear [HR Director],

When writing a cover letter the first paragraph tells the employer why you are writing. You may include the name of a shared personal contact, if someone has referred you or recommend that you contact the person or company.

You can also include your college and current status and a short sentence on why you feel you are the ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance Analyst job.

When writing a job application letter for a quality assurance analyst the middle paragraphs will allow you to explain to the organization/company what you’ve got to offer. State every detail that is suitable for this position.

Start off by stating you’re involvement with the Information Technology industry. Be clear. Specify the names of contractors or corporations you’ve held positions within the industry and for define its duration. Mention your ability in analyzing data in support of business cases, project proposals, and system requirements.

List some of your responsibilities and describe how it’s relevant to the work you are applying for. Provide a brief anecdote if necessary to emphasize a point or a skill. List a few of your personal qualities that makes you stand out. Include any internship experiences, coursework certifications, language skills, volunteering, or co-curricular activities, etc.

Be sure to provide any skills beneficial to the company’s needs in the position in which you are applying for. (I.e. writing test plans, scripts and tracking defects and fixes in product developments, etc.)

The last paragraph will tell about when & how you will follow up. It is your responsibility to do this process unless the internship/job description specifically states no phone calls or email follow up.

If emailing your documents, follow-up is usually 24 – 48 hours; if sending documents by mail follow up is usually in one week.

Sincere regards,
